I can't believe it is already over! What a fun, fabulous, fantastic weekend!
It was a joy to see everyone who attended and we missed those of you who would have liked to have been here but couldn't!!!

I was truly sorry I didn't find a way to publicly thank all the committee members for their hard work so here goes... forgive me if I forget someone.

We cannot thank ANDY WAHL enough! If you all only knew how many hours he spent on the website and all the details and communicating with almost every one of you! He attended every meeting and was a pleasure to work with! AMAZING!!!! How could he lose so much weight eating that many pounds of M&M's?

Linda Epp for taking charge of the baseball tickets and all the fabulous decorations at the 7 Gables.

Carl Pohle for taking charge of arranging Cardwells.

TIm Balk for being an incredibly efficient treasurer, meeting planner/attender and volunteer.

Nancy Elbert Tankersley for being and incredible organizer/party planner and big help keep us focused on chores at hand. Also a BIG hand for putting the DVD together. That took MANY hours!

Sarah Turley for the incredible party at her house on Saturday where we got to see Carl Kinsky!

Rick Schweig, who still uses real film, for scanning a million photos from all of our past for the DVD and taking photos at the events.

David Pocost and Commercial Letter, Inc for printing the poster and postcards. I am so grateful for his support and willingness to participate.

Lynnsie Balk Kantor for doing whatever we assigned her to do!

Maude Lloyd Hales for designing the postcard.

Marianne for doing those very few things that Andy didn't find time to do!

We only had a few surprise guests, Seth Felman and David Shapiro and Ellen George who drove over 3 hours from Kansas City area to get to the Seven Gables...
There were lots of people in from nearby but tons came from California, Portland, DC area, Boston, Colorado...wow!
Please tell us your favorite new memories and funny stories.

Thanks to you all the reunion went smoothly!

Marianne

A chronological HISTORY of the 30th Reunion Planning Committee

The first meeting of the 30th Reunion Planning Committee was held on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009 at 7:00PM.  It was hosted by Marianne Baer and David Pocost at their home in Glendale.  Incredibly delicious English toffee.

The second meeting of the 30th Reunion Planning Committee was held on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at 7:15PM.  It was hosted by Greg Ellston, at his home in Clayton.  The number of participants on the Planning Committee has increased, and the event / venue options for the Reunion were narrowed down to a short list of finalists.  Good meeting, great English toffee.

The third meeting of the 30th Reunion Planning Committee was held on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009 at 6:30PM.  It was hosted by Sarah Turley and her daughter Tatyana, at their new home in Ladue.  Officers of the 30th Reunion Committee were elected: Marianne Baer-Captain, Tim Balk-Treasurer.  A real treat were the white chocolate brownies.

The fourth meeting of the 30th Reunion Committee was held Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 6:30PM.  It was hosted by Nancy Tankersley at her home in Clayton.  Wine was served.  There were no fights.

The fifth meeting of the 30th Reunion Committee was held Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 11:00AM.  It was hosted by Andy Wahl at his home in Ladue.  The one calculator was sufficient.

The sixth meeting of the 30th Reunion Planning Committee was held on Monday, May 11, 2009 at 7:00PM.  It was hosted by Marianne Baer and David Pocost at their home in Glendale.  The event venues were finalized.  Everyone was dressed so nicely.

A special (seventh) meeting of the 30th Reunion Planning Committee was held on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 10:45AM.  It was held in the Molly Darcys restaurant of Seven Gables Inn, Clayton.  The committee reviewed the Seven Gables Inn contract.  Great view and a tall, cool drink of water.

The eighth meeting of the 30th Reunion Planning Committee was held on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 7:00PM.  It was hosted by Marianne Baer and David Pocost at their home in Glendale.  Greg Ellston and Rick Schweig were special guests.  They were there to help (eat the gooey brownies and uncracked English toffee).  Oh, so good.

The ninth meeting of the 30th Reunion Planning Committee was held on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 7:00PM.  It was hosted by Marianne Baer and David Pocost at their home in Glendale.  The home-made cake with lemon frosting was very good.  The carrot sticks were fresh and crisp.  The M&Ms were well sorted.  Everyone missed the nuts.

The tenth and final meeting of the 30th Reunion Planning Committee was held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 7:00PM.  It was hosted by Tim Balk at his man-cave mansion in Ladue.  All remaining financial issues were resolved and the Class Fund was replenished.  Capping off the success of our 30th Reunion, the Committee was treated to a most memorable, double-thick with embedded whole almonds, milk chocolated covered (top and bottom) Enstrom's Toffee - a gift from Claire McDonald.  Thank you, Claire.
